World Economic Forum Panelist Tells Former CNN Potato Stelter U.S. Will ‘Soon’ Have ‘Hate Speech Laws’

• European Commission VP Věra Jourová predicted the United States would soon criminalize “hate speech” in a panel discussion with former CNN anchor Brian Stelter at the World Economic Forum.
• “For hate speech, we need the people who understand the language and the case law in the country, because what qualifies as hate speech, illegal hate speech, which you will have soon also in the U.S., we have a strong reason why we have this in the criminal law,” Jourová told Stelter.
• The remarks were made at a panel titled “The Clear And Present Danger Of Disinformation.”
