• A White former Seattle city employee has filed a lawsuit, alleging the city created a “racially hostile” workplace environment.
• According to the suit, employee Joshua Diemert says he was denied opportunities due to his race and accused of having “white privilege” among other perceived aggressions.
• Diemert is seeking damages of $300,000 and wants the City of Seattle to declare the actions violated the Civil Rights Act as well as the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment.
