- According to The Hill, Immigration and Customs and Enforcement (ICE) placed a detainer on DePape on Tuesday after federal authorities formally charged him with assault and kidnapping charges.
- The outlet noted that “records show DePape, who is a Canadian national, entered the United States as a temporary visitor in March 2008” via the “San Ysidro point of entry on the border between California and Mexico.”
