- The CIA has been meddling in Twitter’s internal content moderation for years, according to the latest dispatches from Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files” — which also revealed “mountains of insistent moderation demands” from the Democratic National Committee, but not from the GOP.
- Independent journalist Matt Taibbi referenced mid-2020 correspondence in which FBI agent Elvis Chan asked Twitter to “invite an OGA” to an upcoming meeting. “OGA,” according to Taibbi was a reference to the CIA.
- Taibbi also noted that the DNC, but not the GOP constantly badgered Twitter to take down content damaging to Democrats.
