At a glance
Two weeks into the new year, more than 25,000 tech workers have been laid off around the world.
The data tracking website, Layoffs.fyi, reported that more than 25,436 employees have been laid off in 2023 from 101 tech companies.
The United States accounts for 22,400 of the employees that have been fired.
