On Sunday, the U.S. military started to expand combat training of Ukrainian troops in Germany.
In the coming weeks, around 500 soldiers will participate in the “combined arms” program before heading back to Ukraine.
General Mark Milley, chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that the large-scale training, as well as new weaponry, will be critical in Ukraine’s effort to regain territory seized by Russia.
