Industry Group: Less Than Half Of Homes Are 'Affordable'

  • The National Association of Home Builders said 42.8% of homes sold in the second quarter were considered “affordable.”
  • That is more than a 14% decline just since the first quarter of 2022.
  • The NAHB attributed this to rising interest rates, supply-chain disruptions and a lack of construction workers.
