Trans activists on Twitter criticized Aretha Franklin’s song “Natural Woman” for being “offensive to trans women.”
The tweet, published by the Trans Cultural Mindfulness Alliance read, “There is no such thing as a ‘natural’ woman” and demanded the song be removed from streaming platforms.
The account backtracked on the statements by claiming they are a parody account — despite previous insistence that they are a genuine group.
