Findings from the 2023 Edelman Trust Barometer revealed a “massive collapse” in people’s hopes for their financial futures over the past year.

Half of the countries surveyed reported double-digit declines among respondents who thought their families would be better off in five years.

The majority of developed nations saw economic optimism hit all-time lows.
