Surprise: Affirmative Action For Housing Doesn’t Help Black People

Secondary-mortgage giant Fannie Mae's explicitly race-conscious approach, or "affirmative action for housing," does not help black people, a National Review op-ed argues.

“Good personal choices lay the foundation for the higher credit scores that lead to affordable, traditional mortgage loans,” the op-ed emphasized. “Such choices should not be devalued through policies that lower the bar for prospective loanees; they should be appreciated and rewarded, because they are and have always been the key to upward mobility for Americans of all races.”
