South Carolina Democrat Senate candidate Krystle Matthews, who is running against Sen. Tim Scott, is the latest public figure to be caught in a Project Veritas sting.
Matthews was recorded making a number of racist remarks, including saying “you gotta treat them [white people] like sh*t, like I mean, that’s the only way they’ll respect you.”
In another secret recording, Matthews said she wanted drug money for her campaign: “I don’t care about no dope money, give me that dope boy money,” she could be heard saying. “Where the duffle bag boys?”
Leading Democrats in South Carolina have called for Matthews to pull out of the race.
