- Author Salman Rushdie’s “The Satanic Verses” topped Amazon’s bestseller lists on Tuesday, days after he sustained serious injuries in a stabbing at a lecture in New York.
- The book had come in as the #1 Best Seller in Amazon’s Literary Satire Fiction list and in the Contemporary British & Irish Literature list. It also claimed 11th place in the overall Amazon Best Sellers list.
- His other books, including “Midnight’s Children” and “Joseph Anton: A Memoir” similarly topped other Best Sellers list.
