Russians Flee To Alaska – By Boat – To Avoid Putin’s Draft

  • Two Russians hopped in a boat and landed on a remote Alaskan island in an effort to dodge Vladimir Putin’s draft.
  • The Russians landed on a beach near Gambell, a town on an island 40 miles from the Russian mainland.
  • Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski called the federal response “lacking.” She noted that Customs and Border Patrol had to dispatch the Coast Guard from more than 750 miles away to address the situation.
