Balenciaga has shelved its Spring 2023 campaign featuring actress Isabelle Huppert in an office surrounded by papers and books.
One book featured showcases the work of Belgian painter Michaël Borremans, whose work has been described by a gallery that previously showcased it as “toddlers engaged in playful but mysterious acts with sinister overtones and insinuations of violence.”
Disturbing images from the book include paintings of toddlers bloodied and castrated.
