Rapist Freed From Prison After Marrying His Victim

A Pakistani court freed a rapist Monday after he married his victim, the rapist’s lawyer said Wednesday.

Dawlat Khan, 25, was sentenced to life imprisonment in May after raping a deaf woman.

Khan married his victim Monday as part of an out-of-court settlement.

Amjad Ali, the perpetrator’s lawyer, told Agence France-Presse that both Khan and the victim share the same extended family, according to CBS.
