• A pregnant 25-year-old woman was murdered in what police are calling a targeted shooting in Artesia, a suburb of Los Angeles.
• Marissa Perez was en route to pick up a cake for a birthday party when another car pulled up beside her, and a gunman opened fire.
• “She was 25. She was about to be a mother in five more months. She was so happy. I want justice for my daughter. I want justice for my grandbaby,” her mother Sandra said to ABC7.
• Police do not believe the shooting was random, but are searching for a motive. There have been no arrests made.
