Police Shoot Man Who Tried To Infiltrate SWAT Training

Chicago police on Monday shot a man who scaled five stories of a building on a fire-escape to infiltrate a facility at which officers were undergoing a SWAT training

City police Superintendent David Brown said the man grabbed at least two guns before he was shot and wounded by police.

Suspect taken to the hospital with injuries considered not to be life threatening. One officer was taken to the hospital with a sprained ankle.

Brown said the suspect was seen on video leaving the facility. Then he came back to the building and climbed the fire escape to the fifth floor, where a door had been propped open for ventilation because there are no windows on that floor.

Brown said there was an issue with the suspect saying he was there to retrieve property and that he had an extensive record. I
