PA Students Have Gotten Dumber, But At Least They Have Their Pronouns

PA Gov. Tom Wolf

At a glance

  • The Pennsylvania Department of Education reported that over the past two years, students’ test scores have declined.
  • For example, grade-level proficiency at math sank to 37.3 percent from 45.4 percent.
  • Not to worry, though: The department is keenly focused on students’ pronouns, if not their declining intellects. The department’s webpage reads: “If you don’t know a student’s preferred personal pronoun, it’s always best to ask.”
