• Kim Yo Jong, the sister of Kim Jong Un who is widely considered to be the second most powerful person in North Korea, warned the U.S. that “it will face a more fatal security crisis.”
• The warning comes after the U.S. has pushed for the United Nations to condemn North Korea’s recent intercontinental ballistic missile test.
• Following the proposal of U.S.-led statement to condemn North Korea’s actions and another statement signed by 14 countries in support of limiting the North’s advancement of its weapons programs, Kim Jong Un’s sister compared the U.S. to “a barking dog seized with fear.”
