• A student at Princeton University has created a new app that can determine if text is written by ChatGPT, a viral chatbot that has raised concerns over potential unethical uses in academia.
• The 22-year-old computer science major, Edward Tian, said he created GPTZero to fight what he sees as a rise in AI plagiarism.
• Tian released his bot online on January 2 and more than 30,000 people tried it out within its first week.
