- Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel told The Daily Mail the cost of their COVID vaccine would be going up in order to compete with rival Pfizer.
- “Americans can expect to pay around $130 for the vaccine, which is estimated to cost just $1.18 to make, representing a 10,000 percent markup. The vaccine is currently sold for $26 a dose,” reported The Daily Mail.
- “It’s going up a little bit because the previous price was massively discounted… we got help from the US Government,” Bancel told The Daily Mail.
