Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel told The Daily Mail the cost of their COVID vaccine would be going up in order to compete with rival Pfizer.
“Americans can expect to pay around $130 for the vaccine, which is estimated to cost just $1.18 to make, representing a 10,000 percent markup. The vaccine is currently sold for $26 a dose,” reported The Daily Mail.
“It’s going up a little bit because the previous price was massively discounted… we got help from the US Government,” Bancel told The Daily Mail.
