According to local media, the crash involving two white SUVs occurred around 9:00 a.m. in the West Adams neighborhood, which is located about eight miles west of downtown Los Angeles.
NBC reported that police said four men ran from the SUV following the crash.
Photos from the scene showed airbags deployed from the vehicle.
An official with the Los Angeles Police Department told Fox 11 that the second vehicle left the scene shortly after the crash.
