HUNTER WON’T TESTIFY

President's Son Stays Mum As Defense Wraps Case In Federal Firearm Trial

First son Hunter Biden will not to testify in his federal firearm trial, where his attorneys wrapped up their case Monday.

Lead defense attorney Abbe Lowell called just three witnesses — including Hunter’s eldest daughter, Naomi — before the defense rested its case Monday, according to NBC News.

Lowell revealed to presiding judge Maryellen Noreika that the defense did not plan to put forward an independent expert to push back on forensic chemist Dr. Jason Brewer’s testimony about cocaine residue found on the pouch in which Hunter Biden’s sister-in-law-turned-lover Hallie disposed of the Colt Cobra .38-caliber revolver on Oct. 23, 2018.

Prosecutors from special counsel David Weiss’ office, however, called back prior witness, FBI agent Erika Jensen, for a brief rebuttal before closing arguments. She is being questioned about Hunter’s text messages in October 2018.

Hunter Biden arrived at the courthouse around 8 a.m. Monday, followed by his stepmother, First Lady Jill Biden.

Jill Biden has been in attendance for every day of her stepson’s trial bar one — she missed Thursday’s proceedings to fly to France to observe commemorations of the 80th anniversary of D-Day alongside her husband, President Biden.
