Food Prices Are Still Soaring

According to data released Tuesday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, food costs spiked 11.4 percent over the past year, the most significant annual increase since May 1979.

Notably, Chicken prices jumped 16.6 percent, meats rose 6.7 percent, and pork increased 6.8 percent. Fruits and vegetables together are up 9.4 percent.
