Florida, Arizona Top Heritage’s Education Freedom Scorecard

  • The Heritage on Sept. 9 published its first-ever Education Freedom Report Card, which ranked states based. on school choice, academic transparency, regulation freedom and spending.
  • Florida finished No. 1. The state ranks third nationally for school choice, and is “generally” respecting of homeschooling families. Heritage noted that Florida could still do more. to expand private education school choice.
  • Arizona was second overall, but first in school choice thanks to new legislation, and fifth in academic transparency and regulation.
