- Larry Elder is a conservative commentator and among the media’s most sought-after black conservative voices.
- He used his recent celebrity on Fox News Channel opinion shows to launch an ultimately failed 2021 GOP bid to take California incumbent Gov. Gavin Newsom’s post in a recall election. However, he finished far ahead of the roughly four dozen other Newsom challengers.
- “I’m running for president,” Elder recently told the Des Moines Register. “And I’m not running against anybody on the Republican side … . I’m running against Joe Biden if he runs, or Kamala Harris if she runs.”
- Elder previously hosted a conservative talk radio show for decades until April of this year. He is also the executive producer of two recent documentaries, “Uncle Tom,” and “Uncle Tom II.”
