- Rep. Jerrold Nadler, the House Judiciary Chairman, said the first impeachment of President Donald Trump was “unconstitutional” because it didn’t provide Trump with due process, according to a new book.
- Nadler made this point during ongoing conversation with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Adam Schiff, who Pelosi tapped to chair the impeachment committee.
- According to the book, Nadler confronted Schiff about the impeachment process, saying, “It’s unfair, and it’s unprecedented, and it’s unconstitutional.”
- The response from Schiff’s team, however, was “F*ck Donald Trump.”
