• Protests over China’s “zero-COVID” policies intensified Sunday in Shanghai and Beijing on Sunday afternoon following a deadly apartment fire in the  city of Urumqi.
• Police were seen on bystander video shoving at people on the same Shanghai street officers cleared hundreds by force just hours earlier.
• “We don’t want PCR tests, we want freedom!” protesters reportedly yelled.
• Such protests across started late last week China – where street demonstrations are extremely rare.
• The outbreaks follows the deaths from the apartment fire that residents believe was caused by excessive lockdown measures that delayed rescue.
