Boebert’s Narrow Lead Grows To 1,229 Votes

Owner Lauren Boebert poses for a portrait at Shooters Grill in Rifle, Colorado on April 24, 2018. - Lauren Boebert opened Shooters Grill in 2013 with her husband Jason in the small town of Rifle, Colorado, the only city in the United States named after a gun according to them. Shortly after Boebert opened the restaurant, there was a murder in the alley behind it. Boebert went next door to the Tradesmen Gun Store and Pawnshop to speak to the owner, Edward Wilks. Wilks explained to her that you dont need a permit in the state of Colorado to open carry. The next day she started carrying a gun with her. The majority of her staff carries, while it is not a requirement to work there she encourages them to do so if they feel comfortable with it. Customers are also welcome to carry firearms on them as well. The restaurants theme remained heavily country western but revolves alot around the theme of the Second Amendment as well.
