- Last week, Graham introduced the “Protecting Pain-Capable Unborn Children from Late-Term Abortions Act,” which includes exceptions for incest, rape and for saving the life of the mother if she is in danger from a physical condition.
- Graham said after the Supreme Court in June overturned Roe v. Wade, which ended federal abortion protections, that decisions about the procedure should be left up to states.
- However, following the introduction of the bill, he said, “I think we should have a law at the federal level that would say after 15 weeks, no abortion on demand except in cases of rape, incest and save the life of a mother.”
- Biden, who is Catholic, reportedly said Tuesday about the bill at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in New York City, “Think about what these guys are talking about: no exceptions – rape, incest – no exceptions, regardless of age.”
