  • President Joe Biden on Friday ignored a question on why he didn’t disclose sooner that he had classified documents in his personal possession as he welcomed Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio to the White House.
  • The president didn’t address that query from reporters but he did give a thumbs’ up sign when journalists asked how first lady Jill Biden was doing after her surgery to remove cancerous lesions from her face and chest.
  • He had ignored questions on the matter when he was in Mexico earlier this week, shortly after the documents existence were discovered. He later addressed the issue, saying he was ‘surprised’ to learn he had such files in his possession.
