Biden Admin To End COVID Public Health Emergencies In May

The Biden administration announced Monday evening that it would end the country's COVID-19 public health emergencies in May.

  • The emergencies has been in place since January 2020 and are now set to end May 11.
  • The Trump administration declared a COVID national emergency and public health emergency.
  • They are set to expire on March 1 and April 11, respectively, but the administration’s plan is to extend them through May 11, then end them on that date,” according to the Office of Management and Budget.
