• Actor Alec Baldwin insisted he didn’t pull the trigger on the gun that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, claiming that the weapon fired by itself on the set of his film “Rust.”
• In an appearance on Chris Cuomo’s YouTube show, the actor explained that the weapon discharged last fall on the New Mexico set while he was practicing a technique called “fanning.”
• “If you pull the hammer back far enough … the hammer didn’t lock … it would fire the bullet without you pulling the trigger,” he said in the episode that aired Tuesday.
