When the Babylon Bee mocks the Associated Press as a joke service that even it can’t compete with, then it’s over for the AP’s credibility.

The AP has long been drifting left and omitting key information in stories that is embarrassing to liberals. In one recent story about the murder of Laken Riley, for example, it left out the critical fact that the alleged killer is an illegal migrant.

Now they are joining Democrats to talk up President Biden’s fitness for office.

The headline the editor of the Babylon Bee mocked was this one from the AP late Wednesday: “Biden at 81: Often sharp and focused but sometimes confused and forgetful.”

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden’s conduct behind closed doors, in the Oval Office, on Air Force One and in meetings around the world is described in the same dual way by those who regularly see him in action.

He is often sharp and focused. But he also has moments, particularly later in the evening, when his thoughts seem jumbled and he trails off mid-sentence or seems confused. Sometimes he doesn’t grasp the finer points of policy details. He occasionally forgets people’s names, stares blankly and moves slowly around the room.
