The head of the Maryland Democratic Party (MDP) LGBTQ+ Diversity Leadership Council, Michael Knaapen, was caught last week on video in a predator sting.
“We just busted the head of the LGBTQ Dems of Maryland going after a 14-year-old. Groomers are about to be mad,” said Alex Rosen, founder of Houston-based vigilante organization Predator Poachers, which conducts sting operations on adults nationwide who seek sexual activities with young boys and girls.
Rosen posted a video Thursday on X featuring Knaapen discussing his role as the head of the MDP LGBTQ+ DLC.
Knaapen seemed to acknowledge in the video that he sent depraved sexual messages and videos to an individual named “Luke” whom he thought was a 14-year-old boy. The boy turned out to be the invention of the Predator Poachers. And Rosen confronted Knaapen with all of the receipts, according to Blaze Media.
Knaapen indicated he thought it was “very thrilling to have a conversation” with the fictional boy whom he knew was underage but claimed he “never intended to actually make it personal.” Knaapen later appeared to confirm that he had given the fictional boy his address and invited him over on at least two occasions, Blaze Media also reports.
As of Monday evening, there was no apparent indication the matter was being investigated by law enforcement.
