• Adidas is investigating allegations made by staff relating to the conduct of Kanye West, who goes by Ye, during his partnership with the company and the response of senior company figures.
• In a statement, Adidas said, “It is currently not clear whether the accusations made in an anonymous letter are true. However, we take these allegations very seriously and have taken the decision to launch an independent investigation of the matter immediately to address the allegations.”
• The investigation comes after a Rolling Stone article was published that included anonymous allegations that Ye showed pornographic and sexualized material to Yeezy staff during meetings.
• The article also said that former Yeezy team members sent an anonymous letter to Adidas alleging that senior leaders turned a “blind eye” to the behavior and took “delayed action.”
