The mission of OffThePress.com is to highlight the news and stories being neglected and ignored by the mainstream press. Blatant bias in the mainstream media has created an environment where Americans no longer have confidence in the reporting they see on TV and read in newspapers. This creates a dangerous situation where people can no longer trust reported facts on everything from health and science to policy and elections. Some say the solution to this problem is to create more fact-checkers and institute censorship, but at OffThePress.com we think the answer is to expand the number and variety of voices people have the ability to read and hear.
