Dunlap shot 29-under par, but as an amateur will not be able to take home the $1.5 million in prize money.

The runner-up will receive the first-place prize, and the three players who tied for third place will be paid as if they finished in a three-way tie for second place.

Dunlap is the first amateur to win a PGA Tour since 1991, when Phil Mickelson won the Tucson Open.

He also is the youngest amateur to have won a tour event since 1910.
