9 People Stabbed Outside Of Indianapolis Shopping Center

At least nine people were injured in a stabbing incident at a strip mall in Indianapolis early Monday morning, according to police.

The stabbing scene unfolded about 3:40 a.m. in the parking lot outside Miami’s Garden Restaurant and Lounge, 7102 Woodland Drive, near the intersection of West 71st Street and 465.

The officers found “multiple people” outside in the parking lot after “some type of disturbance had occurred,” Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Public Information Officer William Young told media at the scene..

Those injured suffered stab wounds or “some type of trauma,” Young told media at the scene.

The injured include:

  • 4 people were treated and released at the scene.
  • 3 people were listed in critical condition
  • 2 people were listed in stable condition

The suspect in the case is being treated at an area hospital after having suffered trauma, Young said.
