  • Five family members, including two young children and an animal, died from sharp force injuries inside a home in the Chicago suburbs this week in what appears to be a murder-suicide, CBS reported.
  • The victims are Lilia Kisliak, 67, Andrei Kisliak, 39, Vera Kisliak, 36, Vivian Kisliak, 6, and Amilia Kisliak, 4, WFIN reported. Authorities did not share who caused the injuries or what weapon was used, WFIN reported.
  • Vera Kisliak had sought protection orders in August and September and filed for divorce from Andrei Kisliak in July, according to Lake County records, Fox Chicago reported.
